MY TRAINING PHILOSOPHY:

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ME:
- For those getting back into a routine: I chose to get certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine specifically because many people who are starting up a new exercise routine need to first address some muscle imbalances, joint pain, range of motion, balance, etc... the list goes on. And some of these things are really easy fixes with a few minutes a day. Our first meeting will be a chance for me to assess what we want to work on first in order to build the healthiest foundation for getting fit. I've always found the deepest satisfaction in helping people get off the couch and feeling better about exercise, and that subtle lifestyle shift from going 0 mph to 1 mph can have the largest impact on someone's life.
- For those with some experience: I use a multi-faceted approach. The human body - and the brain - reacts and changes to adapt to new challenges. My training structure can get results in neuromuscular control, power, strength, stability, agility and overall work capacity in the most efficient layout possible. It's the NASM OPT model, customized to YOUR fitness priorities.
I hit a point in my life where I had to take stock of what was going on. I wanted to be stronger, faster, and more flexible, but I was beat down. Recurring injuries, unhealthy habits, the same nagging pains that discouraged me from the sports and activities that I really wanted to enjoy. I knew I would have to start from the ground up and figure out why I was stuck. Learning the proper way to train requires hitting the books and putting in the time, but now I have the resilience to do anything. I want to share my knowledge with you.
I've always had a passion for helping people learn new movement skills or break through the plateaus they've reached. I recently earned my certification as a personal trainer, because I think I've found my dream job - meeting new clients and helping them build habits (and a stronger, better functioning body) that will last a lifetime.
